At scienceFIST’s Haugan location, the students have been lucky enough to skype with their mentors on a weekly basis.

Their mentors at KLD Energy loaned scienceFIST two wonderful lap tops so the students can talk with their mentors once a week about their projects. The students have the opportunity to ask questions, practice discussion their ideas and get advice from top notch professions.

The students have really enjoyed getting professional feedback from their mentors. Thank you, KLD Energy!

Hard at work!

Students at Salazar are hard at work on their innovations. All the teams have even given up their lunch hours to work on their projects! They cannot wait to meet other scienceFIST students and innovators at their April 23rd event!

TEAM SCIENCE!

TEAM SCIENCE!

Hello from Team Science!

What we are working on is an unbreakable pencil. NO wait, edible. It
is unbreakable AND edible. Well, we hope anyway. What type of food
would we use or what type of materials could we use?

Students digging into design at Spry Elementary

Today in scienceFIST we filled out the design process. We learned the difference between invention and innovation. We talked about different inventions. If Cristian could invent anything he would invent a better computer. Rosalia would invent a better ipod. Danny would invent touch TV. WOO!
